Protecting God's Children

Protecting God's Children

The Archdiocese of St. Louis has developed a system for safe environment compliance called Prevent and Protect STL.  Everyone ministering to minors and vulnerable adults (clergy, employees and volunteers) in the Archdiocese are required and asked to register in the system.

The Archdiocese's Safe Environment Program requires all Archdiocesan clergy, religious order clergy, adult employees and volunteers who work with or near minors and/or vulnerable adults to comply with the following policy requirements:

  • Attend a Protecting God's Children live workshop and complete online updates every three years.
  • Understand and sign the Archdiocese's Code of Ethical Conduct for Clergy, Employees, and Volunteers Working in Ministry.
  • View two online training modules regarding abuse reporting and relevant topics from the Code of Ethical of Conduct.
  • Complete a national criminal record check and agree to regular updates.

Please go to www.preventandprotectstl.org to register and contact your parish Child Safety Coordinator James Browne @ 528-8219 or email him at: jbrowne@sacredhearttroy.org with any questions or for further assistance.
